Zambian musician Shyman Shaizo, real names Michelo Siavwapa was born on the 2nd of July 1984 in Livingstone, one of the top destination cities of Zambia.  Zambia’s Official Entertainment Website www.ZambianMusic.net caught up with him and in his own words, Shyman Shaizo said “Iam last in a family  of 5 children. I was raised  by my parents in Livingstone and had my primary education at Mujala Demonstration school  and Junior  secondary  at Holy Cross covenant  school  in Livingstone, I then went to a boarding  school  from grade 10 to 12 at Kabanga Christian  High  School  in the Southern  Province were I formed my own music  choir . I would say I started my music at the age of 8 in the salvation  army Band where my father introduced  me to the Trumpet. I got inspired to be a musician at the age of 13 after miming songs Chamanyazi, Nasty D, and JK in the 90s.

The name Shyman just popped up after high school from the blues I guess. Tobby from a music group Kamaflag called later called me Shaizo. Actually, the Kamaflag introduced  me to the music industry while working with them as their backup vocalist for almost five years.

In the year 2008 reggae / dancehall Zambian artist Petersen Zagaze gave me a hand and together with him we recorded my first song titled "Fendela Fenduze" that introduced me to the people of Zambia. That song was a major hit years back. With that hit single, I managed to perform  in countries  like Mozambique, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Namibia and South Africa..

Shyman Shaizo confirmed to www.ZambianMusic.net that through out his career, he has managed to collaborate and record hit songs with fellow Zambians such as the late PJay, Exile, Roberto etc.

Mid 2016, Shyman Shaizo released a dancehall song titled “Umaona Chani” that was misunderstood by most media houses. Click Here to watch Umaona Chani video.
